4. What makes this campaign outstanding?
This campaign was done for a good cause and the result is truly overwhelming. This project was carried through by CDOBLOGGERS.COM where a group of bloggers initiated a move to help their own City in such a tragic state where 80% of its baranggays were affected. Through this campaign, the news has spread not only to Mindanao and Philippines but the rest of the world.
1. Youth for I.T. (Y4iT) on Twitter
2. Micro-blog of "Y4iT" or the Philippine Youth Congress in Information Technology.
Last September 2008, this account was used by the organizers and volunteers to feed the event happenings to all its followers. From teasers and news flashes to topic and speaker updates, Twitter has brought the Y4iT experience not only to the people on the University Theater lobby (see picture) but also to Y4iT's online friends.
3. http://twitter.com/y4it

4. Recently featured on QTube (a techie show on QTV ch.11; refer to other picture), Y4iT's Twitter account has been a venue for ideas (e.g., topic suggestions) and updates on the event itself (e.g., the arrival of VIPs). It's more than just a promotional tool, it's like a second home to Y4iT followers composed of organizers, volunteers, speakers, potential speakers, IT enthusiasts - the list goes on and on. The next Y4iT is just a few months away, so join us today! ^_^
