Campaign name: Cashsense Shop & Pay Cash

Description: Cashsense provides a cash-based payment facility that aims to help online merchants (Multiply, Facebook, own website, etc) in the Philippines to reach out to a larger market in the online Filipino community (particularly those who want to shop online but do not have/want to use credit cards). When a merchant links their items for sale to the Cashsense Shopping Cart, their customers can buy items from their online store and pay cash at any 7-Eleven or MLhuillier outlet in the Philippines.

 

Furthermore, Cashsense has developed a Facebook application called Shop & Pay Cash which has an intuitive installation process and a user-friendly interface which makes it easier for merchants to add their items for sale on their Facebook page.

 

Just the same, non-Facebook merchants like Multiply, Webs, Wix, Sulit etc also have their intuitive Add to Cart button once they have linked their items to the Cashsense Shopping Cart.

 

 

The campaign started in January of 2011 and is on-going and continuously developing its facilities to help Philippine online merchants in selling their items. One of the major tools is the Cashsense Online Shopping Mall where merchant items are displayed according to their categories.

What Makes this Campaign Outstanding:

 

Cashsense is the first company in the Philippines to offer cash-based payment facilities to SNS-based micro e-trepreneurs. More than that, this facility presents ease and convenience for both merchant and shopper because it does not require credit cards, registration (for shoppers) and does not limit their payment within banking or office hours. This also reduces the risk of fraudulent transactions since orders are not released until payment is guaranteed and just the same, payments are not released to the merchant until such time that Cashsense has given ample time for the merchant to deliver the item to the customer and allowance for customer dispute. When Cashsense started marketing this facility in January, a lot of merchants were hesitant to join but to date, there are almost 300 ACTIVE merchants including several group buying sites and popular reputable merchants. New items are constantly being added daily and orders are on a steady increase starting April of this year.

We've got a raffle for our customers! We've changed the rules a little bit. If you are the lucky buyer, you may get not just one, but THREE necklaces of your choice! Shipping is on us! All online orders we've received (ever since we started) until the draw date automatically count as a raffle entries! We will be picking the winner by using a randomizer to pick an order number. Tuxessories is an online pendant store that actively promotes and updates fans on its Facebook page. As an act of goodwill, they decided to run a contest for everyone who had a pending order with them at the time it was announced. Everyone who ordered something (except for their Japan charity item) was automatically eligible for the contest.

 

In the end, this was a great goodwill campaign that helped increase brand loyalty and encouraged people to order pendants from them again.

The rules below explain how contestants were to send entries and prizes offered. Eventually the pictures were collected in a Facebook album and voted upon.

Contest Rules Participants can choose their  OWN THEME. Only ONE ENTRY per person. (For group entry, pick ONE representative.)  All entries MUST accompany a TITLE. Optional to include 1-3 sentence description. No explicit, offending entries, please. =) Minor photo editing is allowed (example: photo cleaning, adjusting of levels, simple framing etc.)  Photo-manipulation is NOT allowed (example: changing the whole background, pasting random objects, color invert  etc.) We encourage you to use your imagination and natural resources as much as possible =) By submitting your entry, you agree to give Hatah! Hatah! the privilege to use your photo for marketing and promotional materials. Hatah Hatah is one of many small businesses thriving in Multiply. For their giveaway, they got help from fellow small shops and in a roundabout way helped promote them as well as themselves. However, what was most noteworthy was that they were able to give away amazingly great prizes, that included cash as well as products.
