ChurpChurp is an offshoot of Nuffnang, and also an advertising community that requires you to install a widget on your blog and crosspromote on Twitter and Facebook. At launch, they had a need to bring in as many people into their community as possible, and so the easiest and clearest way to do so was to pay them for promoting ChurpChurp itself. It was a simple way to get themselves promoted, it helped users understand the system of promoting and getting paid and it helped bloggers get their start at promotional blogging.

4. What makes this campaign outstanding? (results generated and how it helped the organization in comparison to how it was prior to start of the campaign)

Sulit launched a blogging contest where they could get bloggers make the term Sulitizen go viral. However, instead of asking contestants to repost on Facebook and Twitter, they instead asked bloggers to install a Sulit.com badge and they shared an appropriate embed code. This badge served two purposes:
1) it helped them track down which bloggers where joining the contest and what they were writing to promote it and
2) it promoted Sulit itself
What made the badge relevant is that Sulit was basically putting more control over the contest than most contests where contestants reshare in popular social networks. By focusing on blogs, Sulit wanted to make sure the term Sulitizen was spread organically. Maybe they were worried the term was going to be hijacked by spammers, or maybe they were just particular about controlling how it ranked as a keyword. Either way, the badge was a vital part of the contest.

At the end, they got many bloggers writing about Sulit and got some extra promotion as well.

1. Campaign name: TV5 Central Page

2. Campaign description / mechanics: (it should have start/end date, campaign objectives)

The challenge was to put some order in all of the Facebook Pages of TV5. There were so many pages (per show) and it was hard to track all of them and make sense of everything. That's when we created the central landing page at the TV5 Facebook Page.

Objective: Organize and cleanly direct the traffic we get on the TV5 Facebook to the the Facebook pages of other shows. Create a mechanism to promote the latest shows and to share the program grid.

Features:

Featured Video: Trailer/Teaser of the latest show of TV5.

Featured TV5 Shows: Thumbnails of different shows of TV5 with links to their individual show pages. If you click the photo you're shown the synopsis. If you click the Like you're directed to the page. All of our shows have the same landing page (lower part). This is to make sure that the experience is consistent regardless of what TV5 show Facebook Page you're on.

Program Guide: Our program schedule for TV5.

1. First Gourmet Academy visits Malacanang and cooks for President Aquino
http://bit.ly/e6300g
First Gourmet Academy was invited to cook for the newly-elected President Aquino and his family last August. This was the first and only time so far that this has happened. First Gourmet Academy was recommended by a close friend of the President and did a very good job in providing the presidential family with a great lunch. Hopefully, this would soon happen again.

2. First Gourmet Academy wins competitions
http://bit.ly/dVPsqm and http://bit.ly/gmK1Lm
First Gourmet Academy is starting to make a big name among the culinary schools in Manila. Proving this was the day when we easily won the Flavors Magazine Culinary Challenge 2010. And this with students that had only been to school in just 6 weeks compared to the other schools competitors that joined with much more experienced students.
A few weeks later, the First Gourmet Academy students also won the Grand Championship and 1st runner up honors in the “You Cook: The Moulinex Video Recipe Challenge” against other culinary school’s instructors.

3. First Gourmet Academy President joins President Aquino to US
http://bit.ly/dkU9Hu
First Gourmet Academy's President, Mr. Romy Mercado, joined President Aquino on his trip to US last September. We are the ONLY culinary school representing the Philippines to bring home investments and jobs from the States.

4. Celebrities join First Gourmet Academy for short courses and diploma program
http://bit.ly/gpkKFQ
For short courses, we were joined by Jolina Magdangal and Senator Chiz Escudero together with his family and friends. We also have our own Roxanne Barcelo who is in our Diploma program and will graduate sometime in the middle of next year.

5. First Gourmet Academy students go abroad for internship
http://bit.ly/dKrJNa and http://bit.ly/fqHsIs
The main reason why First Gourmet Academy was started almost 3 years ago was to make sure that our students are ready to take up employment here in The Philippines as well as abroad. We are proud to announce that we are the culinary school in Manila with most employed students directly after their education. In these two links, you can read about 2 of our students that are successful abroad.

4. What makes this campaign outstanding? (results generated and how it helped the organization in comparison to how it was prior to start of the campaign)

The whole campaign was done on First Gourmet Academy's Facebook Wall. First Gourmet Academy gave away a few short and long courses at the end of 2010. What they did was they had people choose between some of the most exciting events that occurred in FGA for that year, sorted out the qualified contestants (multiple votes not allowed) and finally used a randomizer to pick the winner.

For voting, FGA actually used a special Poll App in Facebook. For people who could not use the App, they were allowed to leave comments on the FGA Wall. To help people choose between entries, they shared urls of blog entries regarding each event, thereby getting people to read the blog and improve the blog's overall ranking. On several ends, FGA succesfully promoted themselves and their courses.
