BanKO and GCash as a blogger payout platform

My experience in using BanKO and GCash for remittance to the unbanked made me contemplate on its feasibility as a payout platform option in addition to Paypal.

 

For cash-out, those with BanKO card can use their ATM card to withdraw. Others can also visit pawnshops (like Tambunting and Villarica) and Globe centers to get their money.

 

Although this would mean that I need to have a BPI account to facilitate easy reloading of my BanKO account.

 

I wonder if bloggers will see this as a reasonable alternative for local transactions.

 

What I like about BanKO is that it is also interest bearing.

 

I just wish though that Globe will offer more ways to get GCash reloaded and allow other funding sources from Paypal to credit card.

Some tips in using BanKO and GCash:

1. Always remember your MPIN.
    
2. Put enough balance in it to earn interest. At the same time, when the need arises, you have money to transfer.
    
3. For BlackBerry users, download the GCash application. Although during times when it doesn't function properly, it will be a waste to make fund inquiries and not get any response.
