An introduction to professional video production and the practices in the Philippine broadcast media. The course highlights the 3 major stages of production – pre-production, production stage and post production. It also includes a hands-on training on conceptualization, planning, scriptwriting, videography and editing. This event is being marketed by HMK Global Marketing Services.

He is a highly experienced Producer-Videographer and video editor. He have been in the video production industry for nearly two decades. He have worked in the country’s top television networks, and have used all of that experience to become a pioneer Online Video Producer .

MODULE 1: Pre-production

What does a video producer do?

Being in an age of digital and DSLR cams, low-cost editing software and tight budgets, many videographers think they can easily produce videos themselves and as a result, are not creating final products that are as impactful or professional as they need to be.

Video producers must have a solid understanding of each phase of production – the pre-production, production and post production.

A video producer is more than just a videographer.

Participants will learn the ff:

Why must Pre-Production occur before the first shooting day?

  • To create content that makes a need
  • Good content starts from the pre-production
  • To create content that motivate and instruct
  • To know when to bring content to life with actors, presenters and or cast
  • To be able to write the ideal video script


MODULE 2: Production

Production/Shooting is the filming stage of your shoot that includes cinematography, audio and lights, as well as directing and effects.

Participants will learn the ff:

  • Paying attention to production value
  • Practical tips for shooting, from the producers’, directors’ and videographers’ points of view
  • When to shoot the interviews first
  • Considering continuity
  • Applying the basics of photography
  • Considering the limitations of your equipment
  • What to do when you don’t have these equipment
  • What to avoid when shooting outdoors
  • What to avoid when shooting indoors
  • Lighting
  • Maximizing available light
  • Actual shooting event



MODULE 3: Post Production

Post production begins when your camera stops rolling and post production activities starts with graphics, media management, video editing and video conversions.

Participants will learn the ff.

  • How to create good content during the editing
  • How to keep them awake
  • Why audiences don’t multifunction
  • Showing leadership by good example
  • Why sound bites create peer group influence
  • Why graphics tell it better
