Shopping is a favorite past time for most people, especially women. I myself admit that I love to go shopping. Seeing new trends for clothes, bags, and watches usually gives a smile on my face. Luckily, here in the city, I don´t have to go far to get to a shopping mall. During busy times, or days where I would suspect that these malls would be packed with people, I could relax and indulge my pleasure browsing or buying in the local online stores.
It seems that Filipinos like to go shopping especially where there are sale offers, but sadly enough, usually these sale items do not usually meet the quality I would expect. Some of the sales´ personell in the malls are also not that friendly anymore during the late afternoons, which could also be due to the strain of the busy day. Still, compared to other places I have been to, it is trully more fun to shop in the Philippines.
There is a National Retail Conference and Stores Asia Expo (NRCE) on August 9 – 10 at the SMX Convention Center. It will be the 21st NRCE event, and it is the county’s largest retail annual event. The main focal point for this year is in line with the government´s campaign - “It is more fun in the Philippines.” This is a 2 day event where leaders from the retail community would share their ideas and announce innovative new changes in the industry. I myself am looking forward on the topics like, Global Trends in Marketing and Branding, Harnessing the Power of Digital Marketing and Online Commerce for Retail Growth, and Retail Entertainment: Creating a New Level of Customer Experience.
The guest of honor will be the Hon. Ramon Jimenez from the Department of Tourism. He will be speaking on the first day, on the subject of how the government´s campaign is in line with the country´s retail industry.
The event would be attended by more than 700 retail owners, CEOs, suppliers, entrepreneurs, as well as consumers. Aside from the conference, there will also be an exhibit area, where 120 companies would be showcasing their products and services.
Anybody interested in the retail business would find this expo a really exciting experience. So come and be part of this much awaited big event. Learn from the experts, and discover new trends and ideas. Click here to register.
