Will You Block Social Media Sites In The Workplace?

Some companies have regarded blogs and social network sites as an enemy of productivity. So these sites, and many more, are blocked from employee access. In some cases, most employees don’t even have access to the internet.

Is this alright?

I'm always a believer of "Shrugging-Off-Before-Work" activities. Before you start the day's work, admit it, you are expecting new emails, new comments, new friend requests, new poker invites... And you also would want to read the news, blogs, check new music, and simply browse for some energy boosters that will jumpstart your day. This routine has become part of our dailies. Information e-ra.

Reuters study tells us that indeed the habitual 'personal' surfing of employees contributes to better productivity. Can't help but agree. So share this link to your bosses now and let them unblock Facebook and Youtube and teach them also to create an account, hehe.
