It's interesting to see that group buying sites push their service as both marketing and sales channel to their clients. Much of the articles I've read regarding group buying in the US say that businesses should not look at this service as an income activity but only as a marketing campaign.

 

Moreover, in the Philippines, there are now 29 active group buying sites, 3 inactive (no deals for the past month) and 8 more that's launching. That's a total of 40 Philippine Group Buying Sites. In my opinion, going to a niche is the best way to survive in this market.

 

Lastly, if I may share, I've written an article on my blog entitled, A Business Owner's Guide to Group Buying Sites which I believe will help merchants decide if group buying is a good marketing strategy for them.
